Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-10+ years experience in construction preferred
- Proven experience as a Construction Foreman, Superintendent, Independent Builder, General Contractor or senior-career construction role
- Comprehensive background in various construction tasks, with a focus on carpentry and residential construction
- Ability to follow instructions and work both collaboratively and independently in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to adapt to new technologies and construction methods
- Flexibility to evolve in a startup environment
- Be physically able to perform standard construction tasks
- Stand for long periods of time
- Be able to work in outside in extreme temperatures
- Be able to lift 50+ lbs
Nice To Haves
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, masonry, or cement a plus
Responsibilities
- Manage on-site production and day-to-day operations for 3D-printed residential construction projects, ensuring they meet timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Utilize expert knowledge of construction methodologies to oversee and execute site activities effectively.
- Serve as a hands-on builder, setting a high standard of craftsmanship in carpentry, masonry, concrete work, roofing, tiling, and other construction techniques.
- Actively mentor and teach junior team members and growing construction workers, fostering their skill development and confidence.
- Build and nurture a positive, collaborative team environment that encourages communication, problem-solving, and mutual respect.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure adherence to project plans.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to align site operations with overall project goals and requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, integrating innovative practices and new technologies to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure project success.
- Document and share best practices to support continuous improvement and innovation in construction methods.
- Uphold a commitment to excellence and maintain a positive attitude that inspires the entire team.
