We are currently seeking a Contract Manager for our Data Center Division in Chicago, IL. This role will require some travel to the job site in Mount Pleasant, WI. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Juris Doctor Degree is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience
  • Ability to negotiate legal and commercial issues arising from contracts
  • Transactional experience or construction/surety law experience is preferred, but not necessary
  • Problem solving skills together with the confidence to take the initiative on projects
  • Strong communication skills and attention-to-detail are essential
  • Position is based in Chicago, IL however assignment may require some travel to jobsites in Mt Pleasant, WI

Nice To Haves

  • Juris Doctor Degree is a plus
  • Transactional experience or construction/surety law experience is preferred, but not necessary

Responsibilities

  • Assist with underwriting risk with respect to projects we are pursuing, providing risk management solutions, and drafting and negotiating various contracts including partnership agreements, design agreements, and owner construction contracts.
  • Prepares contracts from prequalification and bidding through procurement; maintains contracts.
  • Ensures that contractual requirements are met including diversity outreach and procurement goals.
  • Manages outreach database.
  • Prepares prequalification documents.
  • Resource for contractual review/negotiation, articulation of contractual provisions, relevant legal research, Sub/Supplier agreements for project teams or other matters as needed.
