About The Position

Serve as a senior member of the F-16 Configuration Control Process (CCP), providing oversight and expert guidance on changes to the F-16 weapon system. Lead efforts to receive, track, review, and distribute Configuration Management (CM) documentation for CCP processes, including JMCCT/B, Modification Screening Panels (MSP), and Fielding Decisions (FD). Review CM proposals for technical adequacy, proper format, completeness, and compliance with program requirements, including oversight of Single Thread Tracking System (STTS) updates. Perform and oversee F-16 CCP secretariat roles, including preparation of review packages, coordination with stakeholders, consolidation of comments, and briefing support. Lead and support CCP, Technical Review (TR), and Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, including preparation of agendas, detailed minutes, action item tracking, and resolution monitoring. Ensure configuration management processes and procedures are properly implemented and adhered to across program activities. Provide oversight and control of Temporary T-1 and T-2 modifications in accordance with AFI 63-131. Maintain and oversee official configuration control records, including CCP documentation, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Organizational Change Requests (OCRs). Support and lead Functional Configuration Audits (FCA) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), including preparation, coordination, participation, and closeout actions. Support and oversee configuration management tools and systems, including Viper Change Management (VCM), and assist with system improvements, access management, and training. Provide mentorship and oversight to junior and journeyman configuration management personnel.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized expertise in configuration management
  • Ability to independently perform complex CM tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman personnel
  • Minimum of 10 years of configuration management or fighter aircraft maintenance experience supporting DoD programs
  • Experience supporting F-16 or similar fighter aircraft configuration control processes
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, at least five of which must be in the DoD, OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, at least five of which must be in the DoD, OR A minimum of 15 years of directly related experience with appropriate certifications, at least eight of which must be in the DoD
  • Active Secret security clearance required
  • U.S. citizenship required
