Configuration Management Specialist
About The Position
The Configuration Management Specialist supports configuration management and logistics planning activities to ensure proper identification, control, and documentation of system configuration items. The role contributes to configuration item identification, baseline management, change request management, and maintenance of configuration management libraries. The Configuration Management Specialist also assists with the development and maintenance of DoD manuals and specifications and prepares technical reports to support program documentation and configuration control processes.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of experience serving as a logistics planner, configuration manager, or process improvement manager.
- Experience performing configuration item identification, baseline definition, source code control, action items and configuration management library use, and change request management.
- Experience in the development and maintenance of DoD manuals and specifications.
- Experience writing technical reports.
- Knowledge of configuration management processes including configuration item identification, baseline definition, and change request management.
- Knowledge of source code control and configuration management library usage.
- Knowledge of DoD manuals and specifications development and maintenance.
- Ability to prepare and write technical reports.
- Ability to support logistics planning, configuration management, or process improvement activities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Naval Surface Warfare Center / DoD Test and Evaluation support preferred.
