About The Position

3 Reasons Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management Specialist to join our team in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and controlling hardware inventory, documentation, software releases, and product configurations across the lifecycle of critical systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Configuration Control Board to establish and implement effective change control processes. Requirements

Level 2: Bachelor’s degree 7 years of professional experience in configuration management
Level 3: Bachelor’s degree 10 years of professional experience in configuration management
Active Secret Security Clearance (Required)

Nice To Haves

certifications such as CMII, CMPIC, or ITIL are preferred

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of configuration control, including hardware inventory, documentation, and software product releases.
Maintain accurate records of configuration items and changes throughout the product lifecycle.
Support the Configuration Control Board (CCB) with guidance and process improvements.
Develop, update, and enforce configuration management plans, policies, and procedures.
Track and verify configuration changes for compliance and audit readiness.
Collaborate with engineering, program management, and IT teams to ensure consistent and controlled release processes.
Provide oversight and reporting for configuration and change management activities.
