Position Charter The Configuration Management Analyst analyzes proposed changes of processes, systems, and product design using knowledge of engineering, production, systems, and procurement activities to determine overall effect, and coordinates recording of changes and modifications for management control. Position Profile Full Time / Exempt The Configuration Management Analyst reports to the Director of Global Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience with IFS and other TSMD manufacturing information systems.
  • Knowledge of and experience with TSMD change control processes such as DCO, DCN, CIDS, NPD, CCB, etc.
  • Knowledge of the TSMD production processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings/prints, technical specifications and quality measures such as results of dimensional inspection of precision parts.
  • Familiarity with ISO/TS/QS documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Office and Access.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated performance as a team player.
  • Demonstrated initiative, innovation, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Organized, efficient, and highly productive in an independent setting with excellent attention to details.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for brief periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Confers with user to establish change reporting procedure and prepares directives for change authorization and documentation by company personnel.
  • Analyzes proposed design/process changes to prepare report of overall effect for management action, using knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, and procurement activities.
  • Confers with department managers to obtain additional information or to interpret policies and procedures for reporting changes in product design or process.
  • Confers with engineers, managers, customers, and others to discuss projects, prepare documents, or modify schedules.
  • Audits inspection or technical documents preparation procedure to verify compliance with requirements.
  • Coordinates activities of personnel preparing manual or automated records of design/process change documents.
  • Monitors status of project to ensure documentation is submitted according to schedule.
  • Reviews and verifies project documents for completeness, format, and compliance with requirements.
  • Other related duties.
