About The Position

American Management Association International (“AMA”) is looking for a Conference Center Coordinator who will assist with the seamless execution of all AMA’s training sessions and other hosted events. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required; additional education preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Experience in supporting AV and IT equipment and computer software systems preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required and Apple iWorks suite preferred
  • Flexible, long, and weekend hours are required, on occasion
  • Proficient in multitasking
  • Portray a polished, professional image according to AMA’s dress code standards

Responsibilities

  • Support front-desk team coverage at the conference center
  • Welcome guests (seminar participants, instructors, event hosts and guests, etc.) in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
  • Responsible for seminar attendance administration and stocking of meeting materials
  • Set up and break down conference/training rooms, and refresh rooms as needed, which may require moving furniture (tables, chairs, etc.), equipment and supplies
  • Support Center team with distribution and collection of supplies and meeting/training materials (flipcharts, markers, paper and pens, etc.)
  • Provide ad-hoc troubleshooting and assistance with technology and AV support needs
  • Maintain clean, organized and well-stocked inventory for client beverage stations
  • Set up, replenish, maintain, and breakdown catering buffets
  • Other related tasks
