About The Position

The Campus Events Coordinator serves the mission of GO Church by helping plan and execute excellent, life-giving campus events that bring people together and reflect the heart of our church. This role partners closely with the Gatherings Director to bring vision to life through detailed event planning, creative collaboration, and strong onsite leadership.

  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and major GO Church events as needed.
  • Experience in Events & Logistics
  • Highly Organized and comfortable leading staff & teams
  • Experience with vendors & caterers

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Gatherings Director to plan and execute all major campus events and conferences (e.g., Men’s, Women’s, Marriage, Holidays, etc).
  • Serve as the on-site event manager during conferences and large events- helping lead teams, delegate roles, and ensure smooth execution from setup to teardown.
  • Act as the main point person for all campus event logistics, ensuring alignment between the Campus Pastor, Gatherings Director, and campus departments.
  • Participate in meetings to contribute ideas, creative concepts, and environmental design that make each event feel fresh and aligned with the GO Church culture.
  • Participate in FC weekly staff meetings and all conferences & events for GO Church.
  • Build and lead the FC Events Team- recruiting, training, and empowering volunteers to serve with excellence and joy.
  • Foster a fun, inclusive, and team-oriented culture among event volunteers.
  • Ensure volunteers understand their roles, are well-prepared, and feel valued before, during, and after events.
  • Oversee the ordering and preparation of centerpieces, food, décor, and other event materials in collaboration with the Gatherings Director.
  • Manage onsite logistics including room setup, signage, hospitality details, and post-event teardown.
  • Maintain event timelines, checklists, and communication plans to ensure every event runs with clarity and excellence.
  • Manage scheduling & communication to Events Team for monthly serve opportunities.
  • Keep accurate records of budgets & spending for all events & conferences
  • Highly functional in budgets & spreadsheets to maintain accurate analytics post conferences & events
  • Keep up to date information of all vendors, catering, or business in the area
  • Take detailed and organized notes during requested meetings.
  • Publish notes and assign tasks to the appropriate Team Member on Basecamp as needed.
  • Purchase/reserve requested items or services on behalf of the CP.
  • Tag and upload the CP’s receipts into the com App
  • Respond to emails on behalf of the CP/GO Church as needed.
  • Assist with making phone calls to attendees and/or community members.
  • Edit/revise emails or publications to ensure excellence and clarity.
  • Participate in various planning meetings as requested.
  • Participate/assist in the execution of various Funerals and Weddings.
  • Assist the CP in providing creative and thoughtful strategies to show above and beyond care for the staff at all Campuses.
  • Consistently serve on the GO Team(s) that align with your passion and gifting.
  • Seek out opportunities to serve the staff, volunteers and/or attendees of GO Church.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Execute any additional items assigned by the Campus Pastor.
