About The Position

Adena Corporation's Concrete Division is seeking a skilled Project Manager/Estimator to support the development and delivery of commercial concrete projects. This hybrid role combines the analytical challenge of cost estimating with the leadership and coordination of project management: ideal for individuals who enjoy seeing their estimates come to life in the field. Must be authorized to work in the United States Drug-Free Workplace Summary: Estimating This is a unique hybrid position that combines the analytical challenge of estimating with the hands-on leadership of project management Develop accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals for commercial concrete projects in a timely manner. Complete clear and detailed material, equipment, and labor take-offs for concrete, rebar, and formwork. Analyze plans, specifications, bid documents, and addenda to determine scope and cost impacts. Organize subcontractor and supplier quotations, evaluate scope alignment, negotiate pricing, and issue properly documented purchase orders or subcontract agreements. Maintain unit pricing, production rates, and cost databases. Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and construction sequencing considerations. Review job sites when necessary to gather information for estimating and project planning. Operate company estimating software to develop estimates and bids Project Management Assist with project schedules, budgets, and pre-construction planning upon project award. Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is planned efficiently. Attend pre-construction meetings, site visits, and client coordination meetings. Prepare and process RFIs, submittals, scope clarifications, and change orders. Maintain professional communication and relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years concrete construction experience required, with emphasis on estimating and/or project management.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, technical specifications, and structural drawings.
  • Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, material requirements, and cost impacts.
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Bluebeam, or similar industry software preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
