POSITION SUMMARY The Concessions Supervisor – Event supports the Concessions Manager in delivering first-class catering services and events, first-class customer service, and high-quality products, in order to increase revenues and uphold the image of the Broward Center as a premier performing arts center. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assist in the supervision of department staff, who will service our patrons with the utmost professionalism and create a positive experience for all of our patrons. Keep all storage rooms organized and clean including coolers and storage areas to specification. Maintain par stock levels by pulling stock (wine, champagne, beer, liquor, and perishables) from the beverage room or other locations on campus as needed to work the event. Maintain stock of all products including cups, napkins, straws and other disposables both at bars and in storage. Assist Team on weekly receiving and delivers all products to appropriate outlet and stocks in accordance to specifications. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food quality at all times. Independently and proactively initiate or respond to all client inquiries and communications in a timely manner. Maintain awareness of the staffing needs at various locations during an event and request additional staff in a location, according to volume of activity. Identify, evaluate, and implement processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Food and Beverage Department services. Attend all necessary internal and external meetings in order to provide and receive accurate and timely communication regarding the coordination of the Food and Beverage Department's initiatives/objectives. Keep staff current on Broward Center policies and procedures. Will complete additional responsibilities as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Able to maintain a physical presence at designated work locations, maintaining regular attendance, punctuality and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as events required. Able to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally. Able to lift and carry at least 20 pounds and work standing on feet, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling and squatting for several hours. Able to interact with clients and potential clients in a polite and courteous manner at all times. Able to effectively and efficiently multitask, set priorities, shift priorities, and adapt to changes in situations.
