About The Position

The Complex is a live music venue in Downtown Salt Lake City. Established in 2010, The Complex has hosted some of the biggest acts in the world from all music genres like Billie Eilish, Billy Idol, Slayer, Travis Scott and Vampire Weekend to name a few. At The Complex, there are 5 separate venues able to produce live music events; indoor venues: Rockwell, The Grand, Vertigo and Papa Wolf’s and outdoor venue: The Lot. The Concessions Cook is the individual behind the amazing smells each client and guest encounters. Our cooks take pride in ensuring that our food is prepared as directed and follows Food Safety Guidelines as directed by Department of Health (DOH) and Aramark’s policies and procedures. This employee will have the ability to work holidays, nights and/or weekends. This position is considered an Hourly/Part-Time Employee

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older (Required)
  • Experience as a cook in a related field or environment (Required)
  • Utah Food Handler’s card (required)
  • Basic math and counting skills (Required)
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 25lbs.
  • Exhibit and practice the highest level of guest satisfaction skills
  • Willingness to accept change and new procedures
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, meet production/service time schedules, and adapt to necessary and unforeseen changes
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Valid alcohol training meeting Utah requirements (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment – communicates quickly when a need arises to ensure productivity continues
  • Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items (as needed)
  • Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
  • Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, grills, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
  • Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
  • Ensures compliance with food temps and documentation throughout event
  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils – as per guidelines and policies
  • Ensures clear and concise communication with stand leads, stand workers and cashiers
  • Maintains excellent, friendly, and efficient customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
  • Ensures security of company assets
  • Accepts constructive feedback and provides ideas, concerns to and from leadership
