About The Position

The Concessions Café Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the café located inside the Utah Mammoth Practice Facility at South Town. This role ensures outstanding guest service, efficient operational execution, proper food safety practices, inventory control, and a well-trained, engaged team. The manager will oversee scheduling, product ordering, cash handling, and coordination with facility leadership to provide a seamless guest experience.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of food service, concessions, café, or quick-service management experience required.
  • Experience supervising staff in a high-volume food environment preferred.
  • Previous inventory and purchasing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work independently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (6–8 hours).
  • Ability to lift up to 30–40 lbs (boxes, cases, product).
  • Must have or obtain a valid Utah Food Handler Permit.
  • Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, mornings, evenings, and some holidays depending on facility needs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily café operations, including opening/closing procedures, product preparation, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all Levy/Levy Restaurants policies, as well as state and county food safety regulations.
  • Monitor product levels, temperatures, and overall service flow to maintain high-quality offerings.
  • Manage cash handling, POS usage, end-of-shift reports, and financial accuracy.
  • Lead, train, and supervise hourly café associates to ensure excellent guest service.
  • Create and manage weekly schedules to meet business demands while controlling labor costs.
  • Support associate engagement, performance feedback, and corrective action processes when needed.
  • Conduct weekly product counts, track inventory levels, and maintain accurate inventory reports.
  • Order food, beverages, and supplies based on par levels, upcoming events, and café needs.
  • Work with vendors and Levy purchasing guidelines to ensure cost control and product availability.
  • Address guest concerns, questions, and special requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Communicate regularly with Utah Mammoth facility leadership regarding operations, events, and operational needs.
  • Coordinate staffing and product planning around practice schedules, tournaments, and special events.
  • Ensure proper food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and associate certifications.
