About The Position

As Concessions Supervisor at Keeneland Hospitality, you will oversee day-to-day operations of concession stands across the grounds. You will support and supervise team members to ensure outstanding guest service, enforce food safety compliance, and drive efficiency during high-volume service periods. This role requires a person with strong delegation, positive reinforcement, natural leadership and hands-on approach.

Requirements

  • Three years experience as a manager in a convention center, large hotel, sports arena or thoroughbred racetrack setting.
  • Ability to lift/push a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Frequently reaches, lifts, stoops, bends, lifts and cleans to maintain service and storage areas.
  • Assist with receiving, loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Possible exposure to extreme temperatures, sharp objects, and diverse terrain.
  • Position requires being on foot and walking for several hours at a time, moving through large crowds.
  • Flexible availability including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
  • A valid Fayette County Food Handler’s License is required for all food and beverage staff. Must be obtained prior to the first scheduled shift.
  • A Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license is required for all track workers. This license will be provided to you on behalf of Keeneland upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise an area to be determined of up to 20+ employees during race meets.
  • Complete knowledge of all Concessions Food and Bar Beverage menus.
  • Must be able to instruct on the proper use of all equipment and menu preparation.
  • Comply with all responsible alcohol service procedures and policies. Knowledge of health code, safety and sanitation, proper food handling and service standards.
  • Adheres to cash handling and Micros guidelines.
  • Complete daily paperwork with accuracy.
  • Knowledge of product merchandising techniques, quality and cost control including inventory.
  • Thoroughly supervise set up and breakdown of stands and bars.
  • Supervisors are to ensure paperwork is complete and submitted (stand sheet, beer count, ice cream count, etc.).
  • Supervisors are required to confirm employees in their area have cleaned their location and have clocked out.
  • Supervisors are to ensure all equipment that needs to be powered off has been turned off.
  • Check for leaks and any obstructions in hand sinks.
  • Supervisors remain after the race meet ends to assist clean up of the Concessions stands. This is Mandatory.
