Please come join our small team with the large mission as stewards of Virginia’s Financial assets and investments! The Virginia Treasury is seeking a Computer Support Specialist. This position will play a key support role for the Agency as the primary end user support interface for users and executive level staff. This position will also be the primary liaison with VITA in support of major desktop or software related projects. In addition, this specialist will be the primary liaison for the vendor support of the agency Audio/Video conference equipment that are critical to many of the services and collaborative meetings we have with other boards, agencies, or the public. In addition, this role will be responsible for maintaining the Agency hardware/software inventory and insuring alignment with the VITA CMDB. This role plays a key role in vulnerability management by updating software on workstations manually and using automated deployment tools. This position will also act as the Agency primary telecommunications coordinator with VITA for all mobile procurements. This role will also interface closely with the Agency ISO has together they maintain and support the on-boarding and off-boarding of new staff and the maintenance and execution of System Access Requests. While the primary responsibility of this position is end-user support, this position will work closely with the Agency System/Server Admin and have opportunities to grow technically in areas beyond desktop support.
