Position Overview: PlanITROI is actively seeking a Tier 2 Repair Technician for a temp-to-perm position with the possibility of full-time conversion after a successful evaluation period. This role is responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, repairing a variety of devices, and supporting production goals within a fast-paced repair environment. This role is ideal for individuals who excel at technical problem-solving, maintain high accuracy, and thrive in a production-driven workflow. Days/Hours: 7:30 AM -4:00 PM Rate: $17-$18

Requirements

  • Strong hardware and operating system troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose issues on desktops, notebooks, Chromebooks, tablets, and phones
  • Ability to perform advanced diagnostics, including motherboard, power, and system board level troubleshooting
  • Experience configuring and upgrading Apple and Windows devices; familiarity with enterprise grade hardware is required
  • Proficiency with firmware and BIOS upgrades across multiple device types
  • Ability to reconfigure systems to meet specific customer or client specifications
  • Capability to evaluate assets and assist with determining appropriate disposition paths (repair, sell as-is, wholesale)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing workflow with minimal supervision
  • Experience supporting inventory accuracy, asset tracking, and ERP data entry
  • Consistent ability to follow repair SOPs, production processes, and documentation standards
  • Ability to identify recurring hardware failure trends and report insights to leadership for continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to collaborate with the production team to achieve daily throughput goals
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document repair results, configurations, and component changes accurately
  • Ability to maintain compliance with internal standards and quality expectations
  • Comfort with ERP systems and repair documentation tools for accurate tracking
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe repair workstation
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a team first attitude to support departmental goals

Responsibilities
