About The Position

Assist students and community members in academic computer labs and on the Student Support Helpdesk. Help students access and assist with their MyAccess, Blackboard, and Outlook Live student accounts. Troubleshoot any technical issues related to these applications on phone, via email or in person and document student interactions in database. In charge of checking out lab materials, answering phones, assisting students and instructors with technology. Help students access the network and applications available in the labs. Assist students to print and troubleshoot printing related problems. Answer phones and answer general questions from patrons of ACC. Advise users of lab regulations and facilitate enforcement of lab policies. Provide general cleaning of equipment and facilities. Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • THIS IS A STUDENT JOB.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
  • If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
  • If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
  • Good Communication Skills (written and verbal). Customer service skills relating to students, instructors, and the community required.
  • Answering multi-line phones and transcribing messages required.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems required.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other online applications preferred.
