Under the general supervision of the Director of Information Technology, the Computer Hardware and Software Technician provides frontline technical support to staff and students across the district. This position is responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and basic network-related issues, as well as assisting end users through the help desk system. The technician supports the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of personal computing devices—including Windows desktops/laptops, Chromebooks, Macs, and iPads—as well as instructional technology such as interactive panels, document cameras, and projectors. Additionally, the technician helps interpret and explain hardware and software functionality to users in a clear, concise and supportive manner.
