About The Position

On M Health Fairview's Home Medical Equipment (FHME) team, we strive to help each patient reach optimal independence, health, and comfort. The Compression and Mastectomy Fitter is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through the measurement, fitting, and coordination of compression garments and breast prostheses. This role ensures appropriate product selection and fit based on each patient’s clinical needs while delivering a high standard of patient education and service. The position requires collaboration with physicians, clinical staff, and external partners to obtain necessary documentation and facilitate accurate billing and insurance reimbursement. The fitter also maintains detailed records of patient interactions, fittings, and product orders to support operational efficiency and continuity of care. This onsite position is located at our Maplewood Clinic & Speciality Center. It is a 1.0 FTE, Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm position! Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational training or Associate degree
  • 2 or more years of related experience in a healthcare or DME setting
  • Experience with compression garment fitting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate patient measurements and fittings for compression garments and prostheses in accordance with clinical requirements
  • Educate patients on the proper use, care, and expected outcomes of prescribed products
  • Coordinate product ordering and manage follow-up fittings to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Obtain and maintain required documentation from physicians and patients to support insurance authorization and reimbursement
  • Communicate effectively with providers, clinical teams, and external partners to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all fittings, orders, and patient interactions
  • Support departmental initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient access
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with patients, providers, and clinic partners
