Component Test Technician (Contract-to-Hire)

Harbinger: Familiar Form, Revolutionary Foundation. The Component Test Engineering team is looking for a technician with experience in electrical, mechanical/structural, and thermal testing. This role will provide hands-on support to various in-house and external tests. This is a 1 year contract position with possibility of conversion to a full-time role. This role requires on-site attendance 5 days a week between 8 am and 5 pm.
Requirements
- High-voltage electrical testing experience
- Operating bi-directional power supplies and electrical loads
- Building special wiring harnesses from scratch; including soldering, crimping, etc.
- Building test-stands and test-fixtures
Nice To Haves
- Experience with environmental, thermal and structural testing
- Operating and troubleshooting environmental chambers
- Machine shop experience - welding, machining, etc.
- Automotive experience
Responsibilities
- Assist the engineering staff with test setups, execution, and teardown
- Occasionally travel to external test facilities to set up and/or execute tests
- Fabricate test fixtures, make wiring harnesses and support other lab activities
- Operate a forklift (training will be provided, if needed)
- Maintaining lab inventory for consumables
- Maintaining a clean lab environment
