About The Position

Head-huntress.com has an opportunity for a ServiceNow Architect supporting a reputable client in Chandler, AZ. This is a remote-first, contract-to-hire role where you’ll lead architecture and delivery of complex ServiceNow implementations across multiple modules. Client name is confidential and will be shared later in the process.

Requirements

  • 5+ years hands-on ServiceNow design/implementation experience, including 3+ years in a lead/architect role.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) — required.
  • Proven expertise across ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, CMDB (and related platform capabilities).
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow best practices, platform architecture, and scalable design patterns.
  • Deep understanding of CSDM and how to align implementations for long-term platform health.
  • Strong integration experience: REST, SOAP, OAuth2, JWT, MID Server.
  • Strong scripting ability: JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules (and related platform development).
  • Experience with update sets, version control, deployment processes, and governance frameworks.
  • Strong ITIL knowledge and practical mapping of Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration Management to ServiceNow.
  • Experience with Agile and large-scale implementations.

Nice To Haves

  • ITOM depth: Discovery, Orchestration, Event Management.
  • Experience with DevOps / CI/CD for ServiceNow.
  • Familiarity with automation tools/frameworks to drive operational efficiency.
  • Certifications preferred: CAD and/or CTA.

Responsibilities

  • Architect end-to-end solutions across ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, ITAM, HRSD, CMDB and other applications.
  • Define the architectural roadmap by collaborating with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams.
  • Oversee configuration and customization using best practices to ensure scalability and maintainability.
  • Design integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems (e.g., LDAP/Active Directory, SAP, AWS, Azure, Salesforce, custom APIs) using REST/SOAP, OAuth2, JWT, MID Server.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers; enforce consistent engineering standards.
  • Optimize platform performance and usability by reviewing data models, workflows, and integrations.
  • Establish governance and security controls (data integrity, access controls, configuration management, compliance).
  • Act as a trusted SME for stakeholders on platform capabilities, process automation, and architecture decisions.
  • Create documentation (solution designs, workflows, implementation guides; architecture diagrams as needed).
  • Lead upgrades and enhancements (patching, release alignment, minimizing operational impact).
