About The Position

Yancey Bros. Co. has an opening for a Component Rebuild Technician. This position will provide power train component repairs, rebuilds, troubleshooting, and testing. The ideal candidate should possess mechanical aptitude, be organized, and be able to safely work with caustic materials. Essential skills include basic computer proficiency, the ability to read and follow service material instructions and quotes, and the capacity to write clear and concise work orders. Multitasking and problem-solving abilities are also crucial for this role.

  • High school or equivalent
  • vocation/technical school certificate, or a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a heavy equipment shop
  • Must be able to read and understand manuals, such as D&A, special instructions, and service letters.
  • Must have general PC operation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and assemble components.
  • Clean and inspect components.
  • Evaluate re-usability of component parts.
  • Perform failure analysis based on failed parts, SOS reports, and Machine operation.
  • Write service reports once jobs are completed
  • Keep work area clean throughout process
  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager
