The Component Engineering Technician will be responsible for continually improving processes within assigned areas, focusing on Centerless Grinding and Kadia precision honing operations. This role involves managing honing tools, performing equipment changeovers, troubleshooting, and maintaining tight dimensions and micron tolerances. The technician will also be responsible for creating detailed documentation, performing system upkeep and preventative maintenance for wash systems, conducting various audits (PFMEA, Safety, Layer Process), and troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues. Collaboration with cross-functional departments, assisting with training, and supporting changeovers to reduce downtime are also key aspects of this position. The technician is expected to meet annual goals set by the Engineering Manager and provide thorough documentation and reporting.
