About The Position

The Compliance Coordinator supports the Director and Manager in carrying out YBH’s compliance, privacy, quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI), incident management, and policy governance activities. This position performs data aggregation, reporting, documentation, and administrative coordination to ensure the department operates efficiently and meets standards.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a related field (healthcare, business, or human services) preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in compliance, quality, or data management preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, and to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Computer competence (Microsoft Word, Excel).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits and monitoring activities as directed; document and report findings.
  • Collect, organize, and aggregate compliance and quality data for risk assessments, audits, and performance dashboards.
  • Track and maintain records for audits, investigations, incident reports, and corrective action plans.
  • Maintain and update the organization’s compliance management records, ensuring timely data entry and completeness.
  • Prepare monthly or quarterly monitoring and performance reports for leadership review.
  • Manage documentation for accreditation, licensing, and payer readiness activities.
  • Provide compliance support for Committees as needed by maintaining agendas, minutes, and presentations.
  • Assist with the incident reporting process, ensuring timely entry, tracking, and closure of reports in accordance with policy.
  • Assist with HIPAA breach tracking and privacy documentation.
  • Maintain and monitor the organization’s policy repository, ensuring all documents are up to date.
  • Coordinate departmental meetings, trainings, and compliance education logistics.
  • Conduct or participate in site visits and assist in preparing reports and tracking follow-up actions.
  • Communicate proactively with the Compliance Manager regarding deadlines, data gaps, or potential risks.
