About The Position

Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a $400 million credit union in the search for a Compliance / BSA Officer. This role leads the organization's Compliance Program and serves as the designated BSA/AML and OFAC Officer, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations. Reporting to executive leadership, this position plays a critical role in regulatory risk management, exam readiness, and cross-functional partnership across the credit union.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of banking or credit union compliance experience with direct BSA/AML/OFAC responsibility
  • Prior experience serving as a designated BSA Officer
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations, risk management, and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications (ACAMS, BSACS, CUCO, NCCO, or similar) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the designated BSA Officer, overseeing BSA/AML and OFAC programs
  • Manage CIP, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, SAR/CTR filings, OFAC screening, and 314(a)/(b) activities
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments; develop, update, and communicate policies and procedures
  • Lead vendor compliance risk oversight, including due diligence, risk ratings, and contract reviews
  • Partner with business units to prepare for and respond to regulatory exams and audits
  • Coordinate independent testing and ensure timely remediation of findings
  • Oversee compliance training programs and maintain compliance resources for staff
  • Manage complaint investigations, Reg E governance, and root-cause analysis
  • Prepare management and board reporting, including quarterly updates and annual BSA reports
