About The Position

UniVista Insurance is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Assistant to support the compliance department in ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role will oversee compliance activities for new and existing franchise business, including the full compliance lifecycle documentation process from licensing, carrier appointments, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business, Law, or a related field is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in compliance, legal, or administrative support (preferred).
  • Familiarity with insurance industry regulations is a plus.
  • Active Florida 2-20 or 4-40 insurance license is welcome to apply and considered a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory compliance processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with new franchise business from onboarding to obtaining required documentation leading to Grand Opening.
  • Work directly with new franchises to ensure a smooth, timely, and compliant setup process.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight of the compliance department and workflow.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight of the compliance department workflow, ensuring tasks are prioritized and completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Assist in reviewing company practices and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Track, maintain, and organize regulatory documentation and compliance records.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain compliance-related reports and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing materials for audits, internal reviews, and regulatory filings.
  • Stay informed on changes to laws and regulations impacting the insurance and franchise operations.
  • Conduct regulatory research and assist in interpreting and applying requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support compliance leadership with administrative tasks related to compliance training, audits, and investigations.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal departments to ensure adherence to compliance standards and timelines.
