About The Position

The Compliance Analyst supports the operations of the Compliance and Ethics Department, including auditing, monitoring, and oversight functions. This role serves as the designated liaison for internal departments on compliance matters, including delegation oversight. The Compliance Analyst collaborates closely with business unit subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure compliance and oversight processes are standardized and aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This position reports to the Compliance and Risk Management Director and is also responsible for compliance and ethics-related communications and special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Compliance, Healthcare Administration, Legal Studies, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in compliance, governance, regulatory affairs, auditing, quality, accreditation, or a related role.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements, including NCQA, Knox-Keene Health Care Service Plan Act, PCI, Covered California, and HIPAA.
  • Experience supporting compliance program implementation and oversight activities.
  • Willingness to obtain a professional certification such as Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or a similar credential.
  • Proficiency in standard business tools, including email, Smartsheet, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively read, write, speak, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Help ensure organizational compliance with federal and state regulations, contractual obligations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
  • Partner with the Compliance and Ethics team to design and execute effective monitoring, auditing, and oversight activities that strengthen our compliance program.
  • Create meaningful reports, support training initiatives, and contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and other key compliance documentation.
  • Lead coordination of Mental Health Parity analyses and regulatory filings, collaborating closely with internal subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Work cross-functionally with business units to manage data requests, analyze findings, and drive timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Support and coordinate compliance and ethics initiatives and internal events that promote a culture of integrity.
  • Track, monitor, and report on corrective actions related to internal and external audits, ensuring accountability and follow-through.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and analyze potential compliance risks in alignment with established procedures.
  • Build and maintain expertise in regulatory and compliance requirements to support evolving business needs.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy standards.
  • Maintain organized, accurate records across electronic and physical systems.
  • Contribute to special projects and take on additional responsibilities that support the success of the compliance program.
