We are looking for a strong, people-focused, dynamic HR Leader as the Complex Director of Human Resources for the fast-paced and exciting Midland Hotel and The Wade Hotel. The Complex Human Resources Director is responsible for ensuring the efficient administration and management of all human resources/people operations functions. The Complex Human Resources Director serves on the Executive Committee and must be highly visible to employees throughout the hotel.

Requirements

  • A proven track record as a successful people operations leader at a hotel or resort Human Resources Director.
  • 10 years of progressive Human Resources Director or above experience required.
  • A college degree or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a college degree, preferably in Human Resources, Hospitality, or Travel & Tourism Management.
  • Resort, hotel or hospitality experience required, preferably at multiple large properties.
  • Thorough knowledge of Federal, State, and City laws pertaining to HR.
  • Union labor relations experience required.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & organization skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a demanding environment.
  • A commitment to maintaining a positive and organized work environment.
  • Microsoft Office skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Marriott experience preferred.
  • Workday and Workday Recruit knowledge preferred.
  • Bilingual a plus.

  • Budgeting and the coordination of related activities in order to provide each department with the personnel, guidance, and support necessary to achieve their customer service and business objectives.
  • Making sure employees are developed and utilized to their maximum potential by controlling the implementation, administration, and monitoring of all training programs.
  • Making sure the hotel's HR function complies with all state and federal laws as well as regulations and court rulings which pertain to Human Resources by reviewing current management practices, implementing new procedures and communicating any new requirements.
  • Maintaining all hotel personnel records and Human Resource files, ensuring confidentiality.
