About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead our HR team and drive organizational success. This full-time role is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with our mission, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning, strong knowledge of employment law, expertise in conflict resolution, excellent interpersonal skills, and hands-on experience with Paylocity HRIS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Demonstrates compassionate leadership and seeks to support the staff who are working to help children who learn differently and their families
  • Demonstrates expertise in strategic HR planning and execution.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in conflict resolution and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Paylocity HRIS, including system administration, reporting, and process optimization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret HR metrics.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging workplace culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional HR certification, such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR, or significant experience with HRIS and ATS platforms, is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization's mission and business objectives, with a focus on talent acquisition, talent management, onboarding, orientation, training, insurance and benefit management, employee engagement and relations, and organizational development.
  • Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management initiatives to support business growth and operational excellence.
  • Oversee and as needed, work closely in the administration and optimization of Paylocity, ensuring accurate HR data management, payroll processing, benefits administration, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution processes to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify HR priorities and deliver solutions that drive business results.
  • Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives to create a welcoming and high-performing workplace.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
