The role can be based in any of the firm’s offices and reports to the firm’s Senior Director of Strategic Intelligence. Job Summary (basic description) The Competitive Intelligence Manager is a member of the firm’s Marketing and Business Development (MBD) team and is responsible for providing company, industry and competitor research and analysis in support of client targeting, RFP response and pitch development, key account programs, as well as firm, office, practice, and industry group planning. The Competitive Intelligence Manager will be responsible for synthesizing firm and competitor data and information and perform analyses to unearth trends, challenges, and opportunities. This role requires advanced analytical judgment and intellectual curiosity. The Competitive Intelligence Manager is expected not only to gather and synthesize information, but to develop hypotheses, build analytical models, estimate unknowns, and derive strategic insights from incomplete or imperfect data. This role demands comfort with ambiguity, frequent context-switching across industries and practices, and the ability to translate complex analysis into clear strategic guidance.
