The Role: The Compensation & Benefits Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of compensation, benefits, and payroll administration across C&S Chemicals. This role ensures employee pay, benefits, and supporting HR systems are administered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This position serves as the primary administrator for the company’s HRIS/HCM platforms supporting compensation, benefits, and payroll functions, with a focus on data integrity, reporting, system optimization, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in compensation, benefits, payroll, or HRIS management
  • Experience supporting multi-state payroll and benefits administration
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems and reporting tools; experience with Paycom and/or ADP is preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Are analytical, organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate effectively, collaborate well across departments, and handle confidential information with discretion
  • Understand employment law, payroll compliance, and benefits regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SCP is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leading compensation analysis, benchmarking, and program administration
  • Supporting annual compensation planning, merit increases, and bonus administration
  • Overseeing payroll operations for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Managing employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and wellness offerings
  • Coordinating open enrollment, vendor relationships, and benefits renewals
  • Serving as a resource for employee benefit questions, claims support, and policy education
  • Ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws, payroll tax requirements, and benefits regulations including ACA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA
  • Maintaining HRIS data integrity, reporting, workflows, and system improvements
  • Developing reports, dashboards, and analytics to support HR and leadership decision-making
  • Partnering across departments to improve processes and support company goals
