About The Position

The Compensation & HR Analysis Manager is responsible for managing the organization's compensation function, administering compensation-related programs, ensuring that all compensation activities align with organizational policies and applicable regulations. This position also oversees all HR-related reporting and analysis, regularly mining HR data for insights to inform future business strategy. This role involves overseeing base salary and incentive programs, conducting job evaluations, participating in salary surveys, and producing regular people-based data reports for company leadership. This position is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work at our beautiful West Creek office in Goochland 3 days per week and 2 days remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in human resources, business, or Finance preferred, however will consider work experience in lieu of a formal degree
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in managing compensation programs and at least 5 years of total experience in compensation.

  • Management Skills: Strong leadership abilities to direct and guide staff effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed compensation decisions.
  • Statistical Knowledge: Proficiency in statistical analysis for evaluating and interpreting compensation data.
  • Deadline Management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Mathematical Skills: Competence in applying mathematical concepts to assess and develop compensation plans.

  • CCP or GRP Certification, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Compensation strategy and administration: Designs, implements, and manages an organization's compensation structure, including base pay, incentives, and variable pay programs
  • Oversee Base Salary and Incentive Programs: Manage and administer the organization's base salary and incentive programs to ensure they remain competitive and aligned with the company's strategic goals.
  • Conduct Job Evaluations: Conducts job evaluations to determine job classifications, salary grades, and compliance with laws such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
  • Participate in Salary Surveys: Coordinate and engage in salary survey participation and procurement to gather data on industry compensation trends.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze the market positioning of company jobs to ensure competitive pay practices.
  • Annual Salary Administration: Contribute to the development and maintenance of salary structures and budgets for incentive or salary increases as part of the annual salary administration programs.
  • Oversee HR Analysis and Reporting: Pull data from HR systems, analyze and report insights to senior leadership. Manage one reporting specialist.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all compensation-related activities comply with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Consultation: Provides expertise and guidance on compensation matters to employees and leadership.
