About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Compensation Analyst to support the design, implementation, and administration of our compensation programs. This role will ensure that our pay structures, incentive programs, and bonus plans are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. This is a fully remote position that offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $80,000, plus an annual bonus. Compensation may vary based on experience, location, and other job-related factors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field preferred
  • 3–5+ years of experience in compensation, OR 5–8+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources with exposure to compensation, analytics, incentive programs, or total rewards
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups)
  • Familiarity with compensation structures, job architecture, and salary benchmarking methodologies
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday or UKG preferred)
  • Working knowledge of compensation-related laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, pay equity)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to partner across HR and business teams
  • High level of discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information

Nice To Haves

  • Experience participating in compensation projects, such as pay equity reviews or structure redesigns, is preferred
  • Experience in incentive plan design is highly preferred
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or progress toward certification preferred
  • HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze compensation data to support salary structures, incentive plans, and pay practices.
  • Conduct market benchmarking using salary surveys and industry data
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of job descriptions and job evaluations
  • Support annual compensation processes, including merit increases, bonuses, and promotion cycles
  • Oversee the monthly incentive payout process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper approvals
  • Manage the review and approval process for new or revised incentive plans, ensuring alignment with company strategy and governance standards
  • Distribute incentive plans to employees and track acknowledgements
  • Help oversee and administer the deferred bonus program, including tracking, reporting, and compliance
  • Assist with submitting annual compensation surveys
  • Support the Compensation Manager on compensation projects and initiatives, including developing and updating salary structures, job architecture, system implementations, pay equity analysis, policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Assist with compensation program design and enhancements, including incentive plan design, pay equity analyses, and process improvements
  • Partner with HR and leadership to provide compensation recommendations and insights
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations
  • Prepare reports and presentations on compensation trends and metrics
  • Maintain accurate compensation data in HRIS systems
  • Stay up-to-date on legal, government, compliance, and regulatory changes in compensation to identify and recommend improvements to existing compensation processes and procedures
  • Help with ad-hoc requests and projects as needed
