About The Position

The Community Resource Vehicle (CRV) Project is powered by philanthropic partners to address systemic barriers that impact economic mobility of residents living in San Francisco’s Southeast Sector. Our project has been designed to provide critical mobile services that link to workforce development, economic wellbeing, and service coordination. Southeast Sector residents shall be able to access services through a fully equipped mobile vehicle. This role is part-time, non-exempt, requiring high flexibility. The Assistant must have a valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record, as their primary responsibility will be to drive the CRV. The role of the Community Support Operations Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the CRV day-to-day by helping ensure outreach activities and essential services operate smoothly and safely. In this role, the Assistant supports community engagement efforts through event preparation, supply distribution, site set-ups, and general operational assistance, helping ensure families and residents can access services without barriers. This position also provides logistical, operational, and on-site support for both community outreach and YCD sites by providing maintenance assistance as needed to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces. Maintenance responsibilities are entry-level and supportive in nature, including basic upkeep, reporting facility issues, and assisting with routine tasks under guidance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years community outreach experience
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and the ability and willingness to work with economically and culturally diverse clientele from various professional and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written communications, patience, diplomacy, and high level of customer service skills
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems and be resourceful
  • Embraces cultural differences and is willing to foster diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Self-motivated individual who has a passion to ensure that program goals, objectives and tasks are completed timely
  • An efficient multi-tasker who demonstrates effective time management and the capacity to meet competing deadlines
  • Must have proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Continuous commitment to improve occupational knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Support community outreach and program activities through setup, breakdown, and on-site assistance
  • Transport outreach employees, materials, supplies, and equipment between YCD sites and partner organizations
  • Assist with basic maintenance tasks and facility upkeep as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of community spaces, offices, and grounds
  • Support events, workshops, and service days with logistics and material coordination
  • Follow safety procedures and promptly report hazards or maintenance concerns
  • Work collaboratively with program staff, maintenance staff, and community partners
