About The Position
Are you reliable, hands‑on, and enjoy variety in your workday? We’re seeking an Operations Assistant to help keep our early childhood center running smoothly and safely. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being active, supporting children and families, and working as part of a team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
- Valid MO or IL Class E driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and reaching
- Willingness to obtain/maintain pediatric CPR, First Aid, and required trainings
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and strong teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare, serve, and clean up meals through the CACFP food program
- Transport children and families in center‑owned vehicles; ensure proper car seat use
- Run errands and assist with inventory and supply management
- Perform light maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of indoor and outdoor areas
- Maintain center vehicles (fueling, washing, reporting repair needs)
- Assist with child supervision during field trips and in classrooms as needed
- Follow all licensing, accreditation, health, and safety requirements
