Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or human service field of study.
  • Three (3) years of experience with community health promotion and special program management.
  • Organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily functions and operations of program initiatives.
  • Responsible for management of other team members.
  • Coordinates program sustainability, evaluation, and outcomes.
  • Assists in establishing lines of authority and responsibility by defining the duties of department personnel, performing evaluations of department goals, and ensuring department objectives are accomplished.
  • Encourages team member feedback in the formulating of departmental policies, promoting initiatives, solving problems, and presenting new policies and procedures.
  • Prepares program budget and submits for final approval.
  • Reviews and evaluates budget requests against current and projected needs of areas of responsibility and submits reviewed requests for final approval.
  • Interviews applicants and recommends appointment of staff.
  • Outlines duties, scope of authority, and responsibilities of department team members.
  • Makes hiring decisions, conducts team member orientation, training, development, coaching, and discipline.
  • Recommends termination of team members.
  • Establishes and oversees orientation along with in-service training programs for professional and non-professional team member development.
  • Implements sustainable program modifications as needed.
  • Analyzes and reports evaluation data generated from department and community programs.
  • Evaluates team member performance, provides ongoing coaching to motivate the department staff, and maintains a collaborative and supportive team dynamic.
  • Attends monthly meetings with Director and other Community Services managers to collaborate on joint projects.
  • Coordinates activities of the department to achieve and maintain efficient and effective services.
  • Promotes and maintains harmonious relationships among team members, medical staff, patients, and others.
  • Manages community partner contracts.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations, including management and oversight of assigned programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority.
  • Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health and will have direct reports.
