As Community Coordinator, you will be responsible for administering all aspects of the Prog Foundation Center related to the Greater West Valley City youth and community, including, but not limited to the Youth Advisory Council, outreach and marketing focus, and working with internal and external collaborators to build Progressive’s presence in the community by coordinating community initiatives and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social service, business, or relevant field or 3+ years combined experience in community relations, charity support, and/or event coordination
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in platforms and tools such as Mailchimp, Hootsuite, WordPress, and Asana.
  • Ability to effectively work well with a diverse group of people
  • Well organized with an acute attention to detail
  • Ability to work productively in unstructured environment with frequent interruptions
  • Highly ambitious and approachable with strong desire to provide support
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable transportation to complete assigned duties.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement current successful networks and communities to adhere to best practices for building and sustaining collaborative technology and community centers
  • Supervise part-time employees.
  • Manage relationships with individuals, key partners, anchor institutions, and stakeholders
  • Coordinating events and workshops with key stakeholders, councils, and community
  • Lead initiative with Youth Advisory Council to further the mission and vision of the Center. This may include doing outreach, reviewing applications for incoming council members, provide input into their selection, manage all logistics for the council’s meeting, develop opportunities to strengthen their professional development and leadership skills, growing strategic partnerships to improve educational and career opportunities; develop, coordinate, and maintain a youth ambassador program; other youth engagement initiatives
  • Explore and define the purpose of a Young Adult Advisory Council, oversee the establishment and structure, support recruitment of members, the formalization, conducting of effective meetings, while evaluating and adapting.
  • Manage relationship with external community partners to recruit individualscommunity programs and connect youth and community members to these opportunities that include classes, workshops, community fairs, etc
  • Maintain the PROG Foundation website to ensure accurate and timely communication of PROG Development Center programs, events, and other key information, as well as support content related to the Foundation’s volunteering and giving initiatives. calendar of outreach activities, community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities, and aid in determining appropriate dates and locations for corporate events
  • Create and manage the distribution of event and program initiative related materials (presentations, flyers, newsletter, etc.) and development, implementation, and maintenance of online and outreach communication strategies
  • Partner with Program Manager and team to improve the quality of programs. Analyze data from survey results from participants,
  • Implement and manage CMS system for managing, tracking and communicating with contacts
  • Create reporting functionality detailing evaluation on landscape analysis, youth and community member engagement, and survey findings for data driven decisions
  • Manage budget related to programming.
  • Represent the company at public events and settings
  • Various administrative tasks including coordinating, scheduling, creating, presenting, reporting, etc
  • Ensure the PROG Development Center is consistently stocked with drinks, snacks, and other necessary materials to support the successful operation of programs.
