( https://www.cbinsights.com/research-unicorn-companies ) The Role: The Community Marketing Manager will build and nurture an engaged community of Sunbeasts - associates at merchant locations that offer Sunbit - through the Sunbeast App and other communication channels. This role focuses on driving engagement, fostering connection, and keeping Sunbeasts informed and inspired. The ideal candidate is equal parts community builder, content creator, and strategic communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, community management, or a related role
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse merchant and Sunbeast audiences
  • Experience creating and executing marketing campaigns, events, or community programs that drive engagement and participation
  • Familiarity with social and community platforms (e.g., in-app engagement tools, social media, or CRM-driven communication systems)
  • Ability to analyze engagement metrics and translate insights into actionable improvements
  • Collaborative mindset with experience partnering across sales, product, and customer success teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

  • Experience within retail, payments, financing, or lending industries preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute community marketing campaigns that drive engagement and strengthen relationships across the Sunbeast and merchant communities.
  • Lead engagement within the Sunbeast App, including creating and scheduling posts, managing social messaging, and facilitating interaction among Sunbeasts.
  • Manage in-app content and messaging to ensure Sunbeasts are informed, aligned, and excited about new initiatives, promotions, and company updates.
  • Create opportunities for Sunbeasts and merchants to connect and share best practices through events, webinars, and community programs.
  • Partner with account management and sales teams to highlight Sunbeast and merchant success stories and amplify their impact.
  • Build engaging, on-brand content and resources that help Sunbeasts feel connected to Sunbit and confidently promote the product experience.
  • Manage communication channels, including the Sunbeast App, newsletters, and online groups, to maintain consistent, timely, and impactful messaging.
  • Gather feedback and insights from Sunbeasts and merchants to inform content strategy, messaging, and marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Customer Success, Sales) to ensure the Sunbeast voice and experience are represented across programs.
  • Track, analyze, and report on community marketing performance, measuring participation, engagement, and business impact.
