About The Position

Community Life Coordinator Richland, PA Phoebe Ministries is hiring a Full-time Community Life Coordinator to join our long-term care facility in Richland, PA. Work Schedule: Required to one weekend per month. Hours are 9:30am to 4pm. We believe in enriching the lives of our residents through engaging, purposeful activities and social connections. We are seeking a compassionate and organized Community Life Coordinator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing programs and events that enhance the quality of life for our residents. Requirements

  • The ability to deliver excellent customer service to all residents, families, and coworkers.
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, COTA, Associate Degree in related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience working with seniors.
  • One year of experience in a related position required.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematics; proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills; aptitude and training in arts & crafts; knowledge of social, psychological and recreational needs of the elderly and those individuals with dementia; knowledge of current Department of Human Services regulations relating to Activity Programming.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for programming, as well as implementing; group programs, individual activities, therapeutic interventions
  • Supervising and scheduling activity assistants
  • Initiating projects to meet the needs of residents in the following areas: physical, sensory, social, creative, intellectual, spiritual, intergenerational, and community
  • Facilitating development of PCC for individual residents and completing Life Stories for individual residents.
