About The Position

Glacier Hills is seeking Community Life Coordinator for its community in Ann Arbor, MI. Under the supervision of the Administrator/Designee, the Life Enrichment Coordinator plans, organizes, develops, implements, and evaluates activities designed to meet the interests and enhance the functional abilities of residents. Performs physical, mental, and psychosocial activities and works with volunteers to provide activities to enhance the living experience and well-being of each resident. In collaboration with the Administrator, allocates resources in an efficient and economic manner to ensure the program's viability. What have our residents been up to lately? - Exercise and fitness class - Rock painting, decorating contests, and crafts - Cooking demonstrations - Outdoor concerts - Mask tie-dyeing - Car parades - Friday Happy Hours - Themed days of costumes and festivities - Celebrations from Veterans day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Birthdays, Donut Day, and everything in between.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of experience with planning and implementing socialization activities preferred.
  • Self-starter, creative, and highly motivated with a high energy level, our residents will keep you busy.
  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
