About The Position

The Community Health Benefits Coordinator supports Elliot Health System to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve through programs, partnerships, and policies that advance health equity and community wellness. This role leads and coordinates community benefit activities, community health needs assessments (CHNAs), and implementation strategies that inform system priorities and population health initiatives. The Coordinator also supports internal health equity projects, ensuring that systemwide strategies are data-informed, community-connected, and aligned with regulatory and social responsibility requirements. The Coordinator develops and maintains systems for tracking health equity data, monitoring public health trends, and cascading relevant policy updates to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Serving as an active member of the Health Equity and Community Engagement Committee, this role bridges internal and external efforts to strengthen the organization’s culture of equity, community partnership, and community health.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Public Health, Community Health, Health Administration, Social Work, or a related field required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in community health, public health, health equity, healthcare administration, or program coordination required.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse populations and community organizations.
  • Experience conducting CHNAs, managing community benefit databases (e.g., CBISA), and analyzing community health or demographic data.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred.
  • Prior experience with project management, public health surveillance, or data visualization tools preferred.
