About The Position

The Community Engagement & Program Support Intern plays a key role in supporting outreach, engagement, and program-related activities across Alternatives For Girls. This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit operations with a flexible hybrid schedule. Interns support communications, outreach, administrative tasks, and mission-driven engagement efforts.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist with program activities, outreach initiatives, and event planning.
  • Create and curate content for social media and community communications.
  • Support data entry, research, and tracking of program outcomes.
  • Engage with volunteers and community partners.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute ideas.
  • Assist with administrative and operational tasks.
  • Help coordinate virtual and in-person engagement opportunities.
  • Represent AFG at community events when appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow agency policies.
