Your Role: The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with the community, its residents, sponsors, and vendors through events and proactive reach out. Assists in the oversight and day to day operations of the fitness center.

Requirements

  • BS in Exercise Science preferred
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Personal Training certification required in order to train
  • Specialty group exercise class certification preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing, social media management, and community outreach
  • Experience in managing and executing events, programs, and community outreach
  • Experience teaching group exercise classes required
  • Nutrition and Life coaching experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft and Google Suite
  • Proficient in Canva and MailChimp
  • Maintain all required certifications throughout duration of employment
  • Show support for company values through participation in Elevation programs and meetings

Nice To Haves

  • BS in Exercise Science preferred
  • Specialty group exercise class certification preferred
  • Nutrition and Life coaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains ongoing relationship with members and class participants; acts as the face of the fitness center
  • Management and oversight of any vendor programs as well as any new health and wellness programs in the community (massage, dog groomer etc.)
  • Works closely with client Marketing Director to cross promote events, team up on marketing initiatives and social media exposure
  • Regularly audits any vendor program
  • Engages in the community outside of the fitness center, promoting the fitness center program and encouraging membership
  • Fosters and maintains relationships with potential and current members, and client contact
  • Attends community events, meets with residents and business promoting the fitness center
  • Creates relationships with new vendors and/or sponsors for: trunk shows, in-gym samplings, samples for workouts, etc.
  • Manages sponsorship relationships for The Resort events
  • Responsible for Wellness Initiatives (bulletin boards, newsletters, lunch n learns, etc)
  • Responsible for Health Education and Promotion programs
  • Assists with the day to day operations of The Resort
  • Assist in purchasing supplies for fitness center
  • Fitness center floor supervision
  • Assists with equipment upkeep and inventory
  • Utilizes social media including Facebook, Instagram, website, etc to promote fitness center and update center information
  • Marketing and promotions
  • Designs resort E-Blasts, and flyers for programming (may work directly with TBD team)
  • Provides group exercise instruction (up to 4 classes per week)
  • Responsible for 1 Live class per month and 1 Station class per quarter.
  • Conducts member tours, fitness assessments, fitness center and equipment orientations, exercise prescriptions (design program plans) and more
  • Provides individualized, safe and effective exercise programs and comprehensive member services for all fitness levels
  • Other duties as assigned
