The primary purpose of this position located within VE is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the craft area known as “VE Originals Store.". This position is responsible for the planning and organizing of all craft production, which includes product developing/pricing, procurement of materials, and performing cost analysis to ensure new products are marketable. ALL employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events.

  • Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services or business field such as human resources, marketing, business administration, business management, healthcare management, or public administration from an appropriately accredited institution; or Associate’s degree in a human services or business field (identified above) from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related work experience; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) and four years of directly related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ALL employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events.
  • Applicants must have the ability to pass a physical requirements test.

  • Experience providing direct support and oversight to individuals with I/DD to include completion of classroom/work tasks.
  • Physical ability to interact with individuals performing a variety of onsite job duties.
  • Experience using teaching strategies to improve performance and/or increase independence.
  • Experience utilizing behavior management techniques, and task analysis techniques for individuals with I/DD.
  • The applicant will be required to successfully complete the Murdoch Developmental Center “Basic Training Series”; which includes, but is not limited to program library training, First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Techniques (NVCI), CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting.
