General Summary: Coordinates and manages the AHEC Scholars program to include recruitment, training, and tracking progress. Processes stipends when completed with program. Assist with the continuing education events under the supervision of the Center Director or designee.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Knowledge of personal computer operating systems and various software applications to create documents, spreadsheets and presentation material.
  • Good organizational and data management skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple assignments.
  • Ability to work with K-12 and college students, non- profit and private entities.
  • Scheduling flexibility to accommodate partners/events/students’ schedules, which may include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree.
  • Three (3) years of experience providing training, presentations, and event planning.
  • Certified as a Mental Health First Aid instructor.
  • Maintaining social media sites and website.
  • Experience with interdepartmental requisitions, processing payments and deposits.
  • Experience utilizing online video conference/webinar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with college health career programs to recruit students to the AHEC Scholars Program.
  • Manages all aspects of AHEC Scholars Program including disseminating information, orientation to Scholars Program and Learning Management System, teaching portions of the program, tracking progress towards program completion, completing required data management and tracking activities, and processing stipend payments.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to assist with logistics of continuing education conferences and trainings.
  • Supports events online or in person, collects registration information, enters information into data tracking system, handles invoices, payments and related deposits.
  • Maintains and updates communication platforms, including Panhandle AHEC website, social media and various contact/communication lists.
  • Maintains 100% compliance with timely completion of required System, University and job-specific online training courses.
