Role Summary The Community Development Intern will support Third Federal’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) objectives by assisting with the delivery of innovative products and services aimed at fostering affordable housing, economic development, and neighborhood stabilization. 

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a college/university, pursuing a relevant degree program (public administration, nonprofit management, finance, or related)
  • Access to reliable transportation to and from work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Comfortable engaging diverse stakeholders
  • Proficient with basic office and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with database management, community outreach, and bilingual ability is welcomed

Responsibilities

  • Support key outreach initiatives, including providing administrative support to Third Federal’s HomeToday homebuyer counseling program and helping to develop new partnerships for the delivery of financial literacy programs.
  • Assit in identifying opportunities to promote Third Federal’s community development products.
  • Conduct research on the credit needs and available resources for the communities served by Third Federal.
  • Provide administrative support to the Community Development Department, such as assisting with the grants management database and recording volunteer service hours.
