The role is for a dedicated and highly organized Leasing Consultant to join an extraordinary leasing team. This individual will be responsible for the daily operations of the leasing team at one of AvalonBay's apartment communities, ensuring residents experience luxury living. The Leasing Consultant will be a driving force in helping residents find their ideal home, providing creative and thoughtful tours customized to individual tastes, from recommending floorplans to outlining neighborhood attractions. The role requires a keen understanding of prospective residents' needs and consistent follow-through on leads. Saturday availability is required due to high prospective resident traffic on weekends.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a leasing or customer service role, preferably in the real estate or property management industry
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Saturday availability is required

Responsibilities

  • Help residents find the best place to call home
  • Conduct creative and thoughtful tours customized to individual tastes, recommending floorplans and outlining neighborhood restaurants
  • Follow through on every lead to ensure prospective residents feel cared for
  • Create a sense of community and deliver spectacular experiences for new residents
  • Drive leasing performance through personalized connections and recommendations
  • Create excitement through creative campaigns, continuous outreach, and social media to fuel community enthusiasm
  • Continuously reach out with tailored updates to prospective residents, including ideal floorplans, new hot-spot openings, and local food trucks, to paint a picture of community life
