Community Based Prevocational Services Specialist is overseen by the Operations Director of Day & Community Services and the Assistant Directors as well as Supervisory Staff of Community Based Prevocational Services Program (805). RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: • Responsible to supervise the individuals enrolled in the program to pursue a variety of volunteer opportunities. Assisting the individuals while engaging in community volunteer activities. • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with community partners at volunteer sites providing participants with opportunities to gain vocational skills. • Carry out the daily/weekly schedule including transportation for the program participants • Maintain ongoing training as per OPWDD Regulations in both Rise trainings and OPWDD Eleversity training specific to support employment activities. • Participate in regulatory staff meeting as well as program meeting to ensure consistent programming. • Ensure the completion of daily data collection and weekly billing as well as monthly reviews. (Precision Care) • Provide transportation to and from program as well as transporting individuals throughout each program day to prevocational activities. • Ensure that all program activities are Person Centered and based the individual’s valued outcomes as outlined in their Life Plans. • Drive agency vans and demonstrate safe driving practices as per agency policy and New York State Laws.
