Job Summary BASIC FUNCTION HCSC is looking for a dynamic, bilingual individual to join its Community Affairs team at our Cermak Road site! The incumbent will be responsible for being a compassionate and dedicated advocate for all visitors and demonstrate a concierge attitude when assisting visitors with maximizing their benefits, navigating the healthcare system and reaching their optimal health. Will also be responsible for educating visitors about health and wellness programs at the center. The incumbent will assist visitors with assessing tools available to help guide and inform their decision-making about complex matters related to their health and well-being. Incumbent will be a subject matter expert and may handle projects and assist with training others. NOTE: Must be able to move equipment, lift up to 25 lbs., conduct and participate in activities/events outdoors as well as work weekends and after hours along with one Sunday out of the year.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and 3 years of concierge-oriented customer service experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of concierge-oriented customer service experience OR 4 years of concierge-oriented customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of HCSC customer service systems, processes, and products of the operational area.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience building trust and providing concierge level of service, maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Attention to detail and strong documentation skills with ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary to meet customer needs.
  • Web and PC proficiency to include Workday, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce.
  • Must be able to move equipment, lift up to 25 lbs., conduct and participate in activities/events outdoors as well as work weekends and after hours along with one Sunday out of the year.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Health Science/Health Studies.
  • Three (3) years of direct concierge oriented customer service experience in an insurance or healthcare environment, preferably with BCBSIL.
  • Knowledge of health benefit plans and the insurance industry.
