About The Position

Community Concierge team members serve as the face of the Y and support a best-in-class experience for our customers. You will actively interact and engage with community members, provide solutions and offerings, and support them in discovering opportunities at the YMCA. Salary starts at $16.60 per hour and opportunities to grow within the organization. Looking for help in the evenings and weekends.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Earned high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and/or holidays, as needed
  • Top-notch verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish highly preferred
  • Willingness and ability to complete all mandatory YMCA training and certifications, along with ongoing or additional training as assigned by the supervisor, within established timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Greet community members and guests and make them feel welcome and engaged
  • Answer phones and email inquiries
  • Actively manage customer transactions
  • Support facility operations by partnering with local Community Hub leadership to ensure community spaces are clean at all times
  • Anticipate individuals' needs in order to accommodate them and provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock, as needed
  • Ensure front desk operations run smoothly and efficiently
  • Conduct hub tours responsive to the needs of prospective customers; sell memberships
  • Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor
  • Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children
  • Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor
  • Completing all child abuse prevention training as required
