Banesco USA is seeking a Communications Specialist for our Marketing unit. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute in conjunction with our partners comprehensive public relations and communications strategies and media campaigns aligned with the Bank's marketing goals and brand identity. Media Relations: Proactively pitch stories and secure media opportunities to highlight Banesco USA's achievements, community involvement, and thought leadership. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to generate positive media coverage. Content Creation: Coordinate (write and distribute) press releases, media advisories, blog posts, and multimedia materials. Additionally, develop and manage the creative copy and advertising assets for customer-facing digital channels (Online Banking/Digital TVs) and transactional communications (Monthly Statements). Develop and maintain messaging documents: Including key messages, talking points, and Q&As for various audiences and situations. Business Community Involvement: Actively coordinate and monitor employee involvement and efforts with chambers, business organizations and community organizations. Track and measure the effectiveness of communication efforts: Using relevant metrics and analytics. Proprietary Channel Management: Lead the messaging and advertising strategy for the Bank’s direct-to-customer platforms, including monthly account statements, online banking banners, and in-branch digital TV displays. Ensure content is timely, visually aligned with brand standards, and optimized for customer engagement. Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication across all channels. Event Support: May be asked to coordinate the communications aspect of Bank CRA/Community Involvement efforts, sponsorships, and donations. Crisis Communication: Develop and maintain crisis communication plans to effectively manage and respond to sensitive situations. Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in public relations and communications. Supports Marketing Manager and Communications Manager in all aspects of public relations, communications, community involvement and other marketing areas assigned. Responsible for completing annual training program assigned. Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned. Responds to requests, inquiries, and addresses challenges head-on.
